Explored is owned and operated by Timothy and Allison Matyas. We love traveling to new and exciting places and getting outside! Our preference is to find the best local finds and tours. We’ve used proprietary apps for specific region tours, but realized that there lacked a decent solution where anyone could contribute to amazing adventures. This is where the idea for Explored was born.

Founders
Timothy Matyas
Timothy has held many roles in the IT industry, from software engineering, project management, engineering leadership, and currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Audacy leading the iOS, Android, website, and connected device teams. Prior to Audacy, Tim served as the Director of Engineering for Branding Brand leading mobile teams for some of retail’s largest players. He earned his Master of Science in Software Engineering from West Virginia University and his undergraduate in Computer Science from Westminster College. Tim has always had a passion for the outdoors, traveling, and owning his own business. He is eager to apply his extensive knowledge of IT and love of travel and adventures to make Explored a success.
Allison Matyas
Allison has studied business and earned her MBA from Carlow University. Since then, she has been leveraging her talents in HR departments and helping them run efficiently. Keen on operations, leadership, and strategy, she is excited to start Explored with Tim and to assist in any way she can.
